Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automation for desktop and mobile apps, while also performing manual and exploratory testing. You’ll build and maintain automated test suites, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with developers to ensure testability and acceptance criteria across features.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in QA automation, experience with Playwright and WebdriverIO/Appium, and familiarity with Electron or React Native apps.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation
• Hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
• Experience with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile
• Experience testing Electron and React Native apps, incl. real devices
• Experience using AI tools in QA and evaluating their outputs

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
