Job summary

Deel is seeking an Information Security Analyst to lead security operations, threat detection, and incident response. You’ll own the daily alert flow, drive forensics where applicable, and improve detection architectures.

The role emphasizes deep investigation, proactive threat hunting, and strong collaboration with stakeholders to strengthen Deel’s security posture. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in cybersecurity, cloud experience, and proficiency with a broad set of security tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity.
• Experience with security tools like SIEM, SOAR, EDR, SWG, DLP, CSPM, ZTNA, MDM, IdP.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as MITRE, NIST, CIS.
• Experience collaborating with internal/external stakeholders on security events/incidents.
• Stay up to date with latest security technologies and attack techniques.
• Experience with security assessments and configuration reviews.
• Experience with at least one public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Comfortable using AI tools like Claude, Gemini and MCP for various tools.
• Ability to write queries and have scripting/programming experience.
• Excellent English in both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead incident response process and actively investigate events with precision; perform digital forensics where applicable.
• Prioritize alerts based on risk and coordinate remediation with stakeholders.
• Administer SIEM: data ingestion, log management, and tune alerts for relevancy and effectiveness.
• Tune detection rules to reduce noise and false positives for high-fidelity alerts.
• Develop and maintain SOPs; build incident response playbooks for standardized workflows.
• Engineer detection rules to spot IoCs; threat hunting and guardrail setting.
• Design, implement, and maintain security dashboards; generate reports on SOC performance.
