Job summary

The Inter-American Development Bank seeks a dynamic Incident Response and Forensics Senior Associate to join the Cybersecurity Team within the Technology and Transformation Department. You will help detect, triage, and respond to security events, perform forensic investigations, and drive continuous improvement of security baselines for cloud and on-premise solutions.

You will coordinate with internal and external teams, guide junior staff, and communicate complex findings to senior management.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Mathematics, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field (or Bachelor’s degree with sufficient experience).
• 3+ years with a Master’s degree and 6+ years with a Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, SOC/CERT, or related field.
• English required; knowledge of Spanish, French or Portuguese is a plus.
• Certifications such as GCFA, OSCP, CISSP, CISA, CISM, or equivalent are assets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cyber incident detection and triage of security alerts and escalate when needed.
• Lead incident response across internal teams and the managed security service provider.
• Conduct digital forensics, evidence collection, and maintain chain of custody.
• Perform root-cause analysis, report incidents, and propose corrective measures.
• Ensure investigations comply with regulations and standards; support playbooks and training.
• Serve as a technical focal point and communicate with stakeholders.
