Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a hands-on Senior Security Engineer, Detection & Response to strengthen security operations across our cloud infrastructure and applications. You’ll own SIEM/XDR capabilities, run vulnerability management, and lead incident investigations with a practical, end-to-end mindset.

Reporting to the Director of Information Security, you’ll work with engineers across security and operations, applying AI‑assisted workflows to automate detection, hunting, and response at scale.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in security, software, or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on with cloud production security and real-world security challenges.
• Experience with SIEM platforms for detection, monitoring and response.
• Knowledge of AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate SIEM/XDR capabilities, including log ingestion and detection rules.
• Lead incident response and vulnerability management across cloud and apps.
• Perform root-cause analysis and drive long-term fixes.
• Develop AI-assisted automation to improve security operations.
