Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer with strong automation skills and hands-on manual testing for desktop and mobile apps. Build and maintain test automation, integrate into CI/CD, investigate failures, and collaborate with developers on testability.

Experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, Electron/React Native apps, and AI QA tools is preferred; remote-friendly, globally distributed team with USD-based pay.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation.
• Hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron/React Native apps on iOS/Android.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and evaluating their output.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, manage test data and environments.
• Report bugs with reproducible steps and verify fixes.
• Collaborate with developers and product on testability and criteria.
• Perform functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
