Job summary
A leading oil and gas company in Abu Dhabi is seeking a qualified Welding Inspector to ensure compliance with welding standards in a major project. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience, relevant engineering qualifications, and certification in welding inspection. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, reviewing procedures, and collaborating with teams to resolve issues. This position offers a pivotal role in maintaining quality and standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry in a similar role.
- Certification in CSWIP 3.1, AWS-CWI, or equivalent qualification.
- Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (ASME, API).

- Conduct welding inspections in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Review welding procedures and ensure proper execution on-site.
- Monitor welding activities to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Welding Inspector to ensure compliance with welding standards and project specifications in a major Oil & Gas development project. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in the field, strong inspection capabilities, and the ability to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Conduct welding inspections in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Review welding procedures, welder qualifications, and ensure proper execution on-site.
- Monitor and verify welding activities to ensure quality and adherence to the approved specifications.
- Identify and report non‑conformities and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
- Collaborate with QA / QC, construction, and client teams to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain detailed inspection records and generate reports for quality documentation.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS :
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry in a similar role.
- Diploma in Engineering (relevant discipline).
- Certification in CSWIP 3.1, AWS-CWI, or an equivalent qualification approved by the Client.
- Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.).
- Good command of English, both written and verbal.
