Network Planning Manager Electricity Sector
Job summary
A leading semi-government utilities organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced Network Planning Manager Electricity to lead the strategic planning development and optimization of the electricity distribution network. This senior technical role requires over 10 years of experience in network planning and power distribution. Responsibilities include developing planning strategies, conducting forecasting, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and strong expertise in load flow studies. This role is pivotal for aligning infrastructure planning with national energy objectives.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in electricity network planning or power distribution.
- Experience within large utilities, infrastructure or energy sector organizations in the GCC is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Develop short-, medium- and long-term electricity network planning strategies.
- Conduct load forecasting, capacity analysis and demand growth modelling.
- Lead network expansion projects, reinforcements and system upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory standards, safety and technical codes.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, asset management and capital planning teams.
- Prepare technical reports, investment justifications and planning recommendations to senior management.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electricity network planning or power distribution.
- Strong expertise in load flow studies, network modelling tools and utility planning systems.
- Experience within large utilities, infrastructure or energy sector organizations in the GCC is highly desirable.
