Job description
Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Engineer Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the project’s quality management plan (QMP) in coordination with the project team.
- Define quality objectives, procedures, and performance indicators.
- Establish quality control processes and ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction activities to verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
- Monitor, recommend, and oversee corrective actions.
- Implement quality assurance measures to ensure that quality control procedures are being followed effectively.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of quality control and quality assurance activities.
- Prepare inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and other quality-related documents.
- Foster a culture of quality consciousness and continuous improvement among project stakeholders.
- Conduct internal quality audits to assess compliance with quality requirements and identify areas for improvement.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Experience in QA/QC for PMC or construction projects, knowledge of quality principles, standards, and construction practices, proficiency in inspections and audits, analytical skills, communication skills, teamwork, and software proficiency.
- Over 10 years in QA/QC for PMC projects, on-site operations familiarity, GCC/UAE experience.
- Bachelor’s in civil engineering or related field, professional certification in quality management (e.g., certified quality engineer, ISO 9001 lead auditor) preferred.
