Job summary
A leading automotive parts development firm is looking for a Product Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in automotive part design and development. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in creating 3D models and detailed 2D drawings, ensuring compliance with automotive standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with the product development team, converting sketches to 3D models, and justifying design performance using CAD tools. This role requires a thorough understanding of automotive interior and exterior parts engineering.

We are in search for a suitable team member who is into automotive parts development. Experienced into vehicle parts development for both aesthetic & utility products will be an ideal candidate.
- Coordinate with Product Development team to finalize product ideas.
- Check product installation feasibility and prepare design of the product accordingly.
- Convert Images or Sketches or Drawings to 3D model.
- Create 3D model based on the scan data (Mesh file / STL File).
- Convert 3D simulation to Actual Engineered Product including A surface & B surface creation.
- Create detailed 2D Drawings as per Automotive industry standards and customer requirements.
- Define Product Material of each kit components.
- Prepare Installation Manual of the products.
- Justify the design performance with the help of CAD tools. For e.g. FEA Analysis
- Understanding of Automotive Interior and Exterior Parts Engineering and installation.
- Understanding of Automotive Standards and Regulations.
- Able to do Reverse Engineering from Scan data or physical part. (Mesh to CAD / STL to STP or IGES).
- Knowledge of materials (Plastics and Metal) and its manufacturing processes.
- Able to predict expected failures in production or on field and manage to make changes during design phase.
