The project:

Mace is providing project management services on a large mixed-use regeneration development in Abu Dhabi. The site will have commercial workplaces and retail units along with a public realm. This role will be based in Abu Dhabi, so the candidate will be either a resident or prepared to relocate.

1. You will manage the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
2. You will be accountable for the preparation of contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licenses to achieve formal execution by appropriate parties.
3. You will manage costs associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities, and client charges and present these to clients.

1. You will manage operations that are fiscally and ethically viable, influencing the achievement of business objectives that align with business and legislative compliance obligations.
2. You will work collaboratively towards the common goal of a net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

1. You will provide leadership to managers and other professionals to ensure excellence in delivery against plans, championing a continuous improvement culture throughout all activities.
2. You will actively network, innovate, and seek understanding of best practices, utilising the full depth of knowledge of Mace group, the centres of excellence, Mace way control centre, and knowledge hub.
3. You will manage cost consultants to identify and execute opportunities that improve cost management procedures, templates, and products to enhance services provided to stakeholders.

You’ll need to have:

1. A relevant degree qualification in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).
2. Professional membership or working towards i.e. MRICS/RICS, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
3. Experience in business development.
4. Developed commercial and financial acumen.
5. Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law, and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
6. Experience leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams.
7. Developing experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
8. Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
9. Experience working in the United Arab Emirates is essential for client approval.

You’ll also have:

1. Ability to speak Arabic language.
2. Membership in RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
3. Substantial experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the consultancy sector.
4. Property or infrastructure project management expertise.
5. Commercial and financial acumen.
6. Experience leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams.
7. Experience of developing and forming relationships with senior stakeholders.
8. Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
