Assistant Accountant jobs in United Kingdom

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Company based in Head Office to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
• Proven experience (5 years) working as an Accountant or Senior Accountant in a corporate or public accounting environment.

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and transactions.
• Conduct regular financial audits to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
• Monitor financial performance and provide insights to management for informed decision-making.
• Develop and implement financial controls and processes to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

• Perform complex accounting tasks such as reconciliations journal entries accounts payable and receivable and month-end / year-end close processes.
• Ensure adherence to accounting principles and company policies in all financial activities.
• Review and approve accounting transactions and reports prepared by junior accounting staff.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of financial transactions and processes.

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis including profitability analysis cost analysis and trend analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and modeling.
• Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
