A luxury real estate division in Sharjah, UAE, is seeking a General Accountant to manage financial activities and VAT returns. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in audit management and holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance. Strong communication skills are essential. This role contributes significantly to the financial operations within a dynamic environment, enhancing systems and supporting audits.
Qualificações
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing audit duties of a property or investment firm.
- Solid understanding of finalization, consolidation, and filing of quarterly VAT returns.
- Candidates should be proficient in English.
Responsabilidades
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting tasks including reconciliations.
- Coordinate and contribute to the completion of annual audits.
- Assess and report on financial positions and participate in budget preparation.

Formação académica
General Accountant - Real Estate Division. Based in Sharjah, UAE. Reporting to the Finance or Money Supervisor. Responsible for performing accounting activities to completion, consolidation, and filing of quarterly VAT returns. The role supports the Property Division within a luxury furniture company client environment.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting tasks including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts.
- Coordinate and contribute to the completion of annual audits; review financial reports and supporting documentation as required.
- Assess and report on financial position including income statement variances; communicate financial outcomes to management; participate in budget preparation and analysis.
- Enhance systems and procedures and initiate corrective action as needed.
- Accounts payable function.
- Manage taxes and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing the audit duties of a property or investment firm.
- Solid understanding of finalization, consolidation, and filing of quarterly VAT returns.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Audit, Finance, or a related field.
- Candidates holding a Master's in Commerce or CA/CPA certifications are preferred.
- Proficient in English.
