Job summary

LEAMS Education in Dubai seeks a Year 6 Section Leader – Primary School to drive academic and operational leadership for Year 6. You will blend teaching with curriculum coordination, assessment oversight, and staff development to support student welfare and progression into secondary school.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant teaching degree and leadership experience, with a strong grasp of the British curriculum and data-driven planning. Immediate availability preferred in a full‑time role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a relevant primary teaching subject.
• Recognised teaching qualification such as B.Ed, PGCE or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in a leadership, coordination or phase leader role.
• Strong knowledge of the British curriculum and Year 6 learning expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Year 6 teaching team across daily academic and pastoral activities.
• Ensure high-quality teaching and learning aligned with the British curriculum.
• Guide teachers in schemes of work, lesson plans, resources and differentiated activities.
• Monitor curriculum coverage and learning objectives within timelines.
• Oversee assessment, moderation, progress tracking and reporting for Year 6.
• Analyse student data to identify gaps and plan interventions.
• Mentor teachers and conduct observations and feedback discussions.
• Support new teachers and promote school policy and initiatives.
• Coordinate Year 6 meetings and maintain records of decisions.
