Job summary

LEAMS Education is seeking a dynamic Head of Post 16 to lead and advance our Sixth Form provision within a British curriculum school in Dubai. The role requires a proven leader with a strong academic background and a passion for university preparation and career pathways.

The successful candidate will drive academic outcomes for AS/A Levels, monitor progress and wellbeing, and collaborate with senior leaders to shape school improvement priorities.

Qualifications

• Required master’s degree with teaching qualification (PGCE/B.Ed. or equivalent).
• Master’s in Education or Leadership is preferred.
• Proven leadership experience in a British Curriculum school.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic development and daily management of Post 16/Sixth Form.
• Drive outstanding AS/A Level outcomes and other Post 16 pathways.
• Ensure high-quality teaching, learning and assessment per England NC and exam boards.
• Monitor progress, attendance, behaviour and wellbeing; intervene as needed.
• Lead curriculum planning, QA, data analysis and improvement initiatives.
• Coach and develop staff through observations and PD.
• Promote a culture of academic excellence and student leadership.
• Collaborate with SLT on school improvement priorities.
• Strengthen university guidance and student destination planning.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents and external stakeholders.
