Job summary

You will work with Service Advisors and technicians to ensure on-time delivery, maximise productivity, and uphold quality standards, while tracking work-in-progress, clocking, and capacity to keep schedules on track.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Automobile Engineering preferred with 2+ years in workshop planning or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair procedures and workshop productivity targets.
• Ability to prioritise multiple jobs and keep delivery commitments visible.
• Good coordination with Service Advisors, technicians, supervisors and support teams.
• English communication; Arabic considered an advantage; UAE driving license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Allocate service and repair jobs to technicians based on skills and workload.
• Monitor planning boards, job progress, repair stages and delivery timelines.
• Balance workload to improve productivity and fair allocation.
• Support the Fix It Right process and reduce rework.
• Track WIP and follow up on delayed or escalated repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Allocate service and repair jobs to technicians according to technical skill, job complexity, workload, and workshop priority.
• Monitor workshop planning boards, job progress, repair stages, and delivery timelines throughout the working day.
• Balance work distribution across technicians to improve productivity, efficiency, and fair job allocation.
• Support the Fix It Right process by helping the team reduce rework, improve repair quality, and maintain service standards.
• Track work-in-progress and follow up on delayed, pending, or escalated repair jobs to keep schedules under control.
• Maintain accurate time-clocking records and highlight deviations that may affect productivity or vehicle delivery.
• Coordinate closely with Service Advisors to provide clear updates on repair status, estimated completion time, and any workshop delays.
• Review available capacity before accepting or moving jobs through the workshop planning flow.
• Help supervisors identify bottlenecks, idle time, urgent jobs, repeat repairs, and operational gaps.
• Ensure vehicle movement, technician assignment, and service workflow are aligned with customer promise times.
• Use workshop systems and available planning tools to support accurate job control and reporting.
• Contribute to a disciplined workshop environment where communication, accountability, and service quality remain consistent.

Ideal Profile

The right candidate should have hands-on exposure to automotive workshop operations and a practical understanding of service repair workflows.

• A diploma in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is preferred, supported by at least 2 years of experience in a workshop planner, job controller, service coordination, or similar aftersales role.
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair procedures, technician workflow, and workshop productivity targets.
• Ability to prioritize multiple jobs while keeping delivery commitments visible and realistic.
• Good coordination skills for working with Service Advisors, technicians, supervisors, and support teams.
• Confident communication in English, with Arabic considered an added advantage.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar automotive workshop management systems is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail when monitoring job progress, clocking, WIP, and operational updates.
• UAE driving license is an advantage.
