Job summary

Al-Futtaim Motors – Toyota in Ras Al Khaimah is seeking an experienced Workshop Planner to allocate technical jobs to technicians, ensuring alignment with skill sets and timely delivery.

You will report to the Aftersales Manager and collaborate with Technicians and Service Advisors daily to keep workflow efficient and meet FIR and quality targets.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience as a Workshop Controller or Workshop Planner in an automobile dealership.
• Expertise in allocating jobs to technicians based on their skill level and job requirements.
• Ability to write detailed technical reports.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Job Allocation: Assign jobs to technicians based on their skillsets and job requirements to optimise workflow.
• Monitor Job Progress: Keep track of the technician planning board and Job Progress Control Board, and report any concerns to the workshop manager.
• Efficiency & Utilisation: Ensure fair distribution of tasks and achieve technician utilisation and efficiency targets.
• FIR Process: Ensure adherence to the Fix It Right (FIR) process to meet performance targets.
• Timely Job Closure: Ensure allocated jobs are completed within the scheduled time and meet quality standards.
• Time Clocking: Maintain precise time clocking and elevate issues when necessary.
• On-Time Vehicle Delivery: Keep the Service Advisor updated on vehicle progress to guarantee on-time delivery.

Your efforts will directly impact the overall success of the workshop and our customer service excellence.

What Equips You for the Role

• Diploma in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering
• Experience as a Diagnostic Technician or equivalent
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• UAE driving licence (advantageous but not mandatory)
