Job summary

Dicetek LLC in Dubai is seeking a Windows System Administrator to manage and secure the organization’s Windows Server infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud integrated environments.

You will install, configure, monitor, patch and back up servers, enforce security baselines, and support DR planning. Strong AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP and PowerShell skills are required.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for managing, maintaining and securing the organization's Windows-based server infrastructure. The Windows System Administrator ensures stable operations through installation, configuration, monitoring, patch management, backup, disaster recovery and technical support across on-premise and cloud-integrated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022)
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs and authentication services
• Handle server roles such as File Server, Print Server and WSUS
• Monitor system health, storage and performance using server monitoring tools
• Implement security baselines and manage endpoint protection technologies
• Apply regular system updates and security patches
• Manage permissions and access controls in alignment with IT policies
• Support threat detection, vulnerability remediation and log reviews
• Manage backup solutions and maintain tested recovery procedures
• Support disaster recovery planning and execution
• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, OneDrive and SharePoint
• Manage Azure AD synchronization, Intune device management and hybrid configurations
• Support cloud integration and migration projects
• Collaborate with network teams to resolve connectivity and server-access issues
• Maintain file sharing permissions, printer services and storage quotas
• Provide L2 and L3 support for escalated technical issues
• Maintain documentation of system configurations and operational procedures
• Generate system performance and uptime reports
• Participate in internal audits and compliance assessments

Ideal Profile

• 3-5 years of experience in Windows Server administration
• Strong experience managing Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP and WSUS
• Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V or VMware
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation tasks
• Familiarity with backup solutions, preferably Veeam
• Knowledge of LAN, WAN, VPN and firewall basics
• Experience managing Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good documentation and communication abilities
