Job summary

AECOM in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Wet Utilities Design Engineer to join our infrastructure design team. The role focuses on designing water and wastewater networks, pumping stations and storage facilities, with emphasis on compliance to local authorities and international standards.

The candidate will perform hydraulic modeling, prepare detailed drawings and BOQs, and coordinate with roads and other disciplines to ensure cohesive project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related field
• 5–8+ years of relevant experience in wet utilities or water infrastructure design
• Experience on Dubai/UAE infrastructure projects preferred
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure or urban development projects advantageous

Responsibilities

• Design water, sewerage, stormwater and other wet utility networks
• Design pumping stations, reservoirs, manholes and associated infrastructure
• Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis using WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWater and InfoWorks ICM
• Prepare utility layouts, profiles, detailed drawings, calculations and BOQs
• Ensure designs comply with Dubai Municipality, DEWA and international standards
• Coordinate wet utilities with roads, dry utilities and other disciplines
• Review hydraulic capacity, pressure, flow, pipe sizing and network performance
• Support authority submissions, design reviews and technical coordination
