Job summary
AECOM seeks an experienced Wet Utilities Design Engineer to join its infrastructure team in the UAE. The role focuses on design and hydraulic analysis of water and wastewater networks, pumping stations, and storage facilities in compliance with local and international standards.
The ideal candidate has 5–8+ years of relevant experience, familiarity with Dubai Municipality/DEWA requirements, and ability to coordinate across disciplines on large-scale projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related discipline.
- Master's degree or professional certification is a plus.
- 5–8+ years of experience in wet utilities/water infrastructure design.
- Experience on Dubai/UAE infrastructure projects preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design water, sewerage, stormwater, and other wet utilities networks.
- Design pumping stations, reservoirs, manholes and related infrastructure.
- Perform hydraulic modeling using WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWater and InfoWorks ICM.
- Prepare utility layouts, profiles, drawings, calculations and BOQs.
- Ensure designs comply with Dubai Municipality, DEWA and international standards.
- Coordinate wet utilities with roads, dry utilities and other disciplines.
- Review hydraulic capacity, pressure, flow, sizing and network performance.
- Support authority submissions, design reviews and technical coordination.
