Job summary

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi is seeking a Waiter/Waitress for the Sand & Koal team in the Food & Beverage department. You will ensure guests are served with the highest standards and work closely with the captain to present menus, take orders, and deliver timely service.

Experience in luxury hotels is preferred. Certification in hospitality is desirable, and a professional appearance and guest-focused attitude are essential for success in this environment.

Qualifications

• Certification or Diploma in Hospitality Management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up stations and tables according to standards.
• Greet and communicate with guests per Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental standards.
• Assist the captain in presenting the menu, taking orders, and recommending items.
• Serve food and beverages and ensure prompt service.
• Assist in billing procedures and clearing tables.
• Coordinate return of dirty linen and supervise station cleanliness.
• Be present in the restaurant during service hours and inform the captain of guest comments or complaints.
• Attend trainings and briefings as required by restaurant management.

About the job

Based at the Emirates palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Food & Beverage Department, the Waiter/Waitress is responsible for ensuring that guests are served food and beverage according to the standards of Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental. The Waiter/Waitress reports to the Assistant Restaurant Manager.

As Waiter/Waitress, you will beresponsiblefor the following duties:

• Set up stations and tables according to set standards
• Greet the guest according to the standards set by Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental
• Communicate with the guest according to the standards set by Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental
• Assist the captain in presenting the menu, making recommendations, and taking orders
• Serving food and beverage items and ensuring prompt service
• Follow up on billing and checking procedures
• Assist in the clearing of tables and stations
• Coordinate and supervise the return of dirty linen
• To be present in the restaurant during service hours
• Ensure that the captain is kept informed of all guest comments and complaints
• Attend communication meetings, briefings, and training sessions as required by the restaurant manager, training manager, and food and beverage manager
• To keep uniform neat and clean and ensure good personal grooming and hygiene in accordance with the standards of Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental

As Waiter/Waitress, weexpectfrom you:

• Certification or Diploma in Hospitality Management is preferred
• Previous experience in a luxury hotel is preferred, resort experience will be a plus
• Passionate about guest service with an engaging personality
