Job summary

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi is seeking a Waiter/Waitress to join the Food & Beverage team. You will ensure guests are served according to our standards while maintaining professional presentation and service during shifts.

Based in Abu Dhabi, you will greet guests, present menus, take orders, and coordinate with the captain to ensure flawless dining experiences in a luxury hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Certification or Diploma in Hospitality Management preferred.
• Previous luxury hotel experience preferred; resort experience will be a plus.
• Passionate about guest service with an engaging personality.

Responsibilities

• Set up stations and tables according to standards.
• Greet guests according to Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental standards.
• Present the menu, suggest options, and take orders.
• Serve food and beverages with prompt service.
• Assist in billing procedures and dessert/course timing.

About the job

Based at the Emirates palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Food & Beverage Department, the Waiter/Waitress is responsible for ensuring that guests are served food and beverage according to the standards of Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental. The Waiter/Waitress reports to the Assistant Restaurant Manager.

As Waiter/Waitress, you will beresponsiblefor the following duties:

• Set up stations and tables according to set standards
• Greet the guest according to the standards set by Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental
• Communicate with the guest according to the standards set by Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental
• Assist the captain in presenting the menu, making recommendations, and taking orders
• Serving food and beverage items and ensuring prompt service
• Follow up on billing and checking procedures
• Assist in the clearing of tables and stations
• Coordinate and supervise the return of dirty linen
• To be present in the restaurant during service hours
• Ensure that the captain is kept informed of all guest comments and complaints
• Attend communication meetings, briefings, and training sessions as required by the restaurant manager, training manager, and food and beverage manager
• To keep uniform neat and clean and ensure good personal grooming and hygiene in accordance with the standards of Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental

As Waiter/Waitress, weexpectfrom you:

• Certification or Diploma in Hospitality Management is preferred
• Previous experience in a luxury hotel is preferred, resort experience will be a plus
• Passionate about guest service with an engaging personality
