Job summary

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi is seeking a Waiter/Waitress to join the Sands & Koal team within the Food & Beverage department. You will ensure guests are served to the highest standards and assist the captain with menu presentation and order taking.

The role requires attentiveness, neat appearance, and collaboration in a luxury hotel environment. Prior experience in luxury hospitality is preferred, along with a hospitality management certification.

Qualifications

• Certification or Diploma in Hospitality Management is preferred.
• Previous experience in a luxury hotel is preferred.
• Passionate about guest service with an engaging personality.

Responsibilities

• Set up stations and tables according to set standards.
• Greet guests according to Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental standards.
• Communicate with guests and take orders; assist in presenting the menu.
• Serve food and beverages with prompt service; follow billing procedures.
• Assist in clearing tables and stations; coordinate linen return.
• Be present in the restaurant during service hours.
• Keep captain informed of guest comments and complaints.
• Attend meetings and trainings as required by management.
• Maintain neat uniform and high personal grooming standards.

About The Job

Based at the Emirates palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Food & Beverage Department, the Waiter/Waitress is responsible for ensuring that guests are served food and beverage according to the standards of Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental. The Waiter/Waitress reports to the Assistant Restaurant Manager.

As Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for the following duties

• Set up stations and tables according to set standards
• Greet the guest according to the standards set by Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental
• Communicate with the guest according to the standards set by Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental
• Assist the captain in presenting the menu, making recommendations, and taking orders
• Serving food and beverage items and ensuring prompt service
• Follow up on billing and checking procedures
• Assist in the clearing of tables and stations
• Coordinate and supervise the return of dirty linen
• To be present in the restaurant during service hours
• Ensure that the captain is kept informed of all guest comments and complaints
• Attend communication meetings, briefings, and training sessions as required by the restaurant manager, training manager, and food and beverage manager
• To keep uniform neat and clean and ensure good personal grooming and hygiene in accordance with the standards of Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental

As Waiter/Waitress, We Expect From You

• Certification or Diploma in Hospitality Management is preferred
• Previous experience in a luxury hotel is preferred, resort experience will be a plus
• Passionate about guest service with an engaging personality
