The position demands active listening, strong communication, and flexibility to work varied shifts in a fast-paced environment. Previous hotel experience is preferred.

The associate is to assist the manager with achieving high scores on guest satisfaction surveys, recognising repeat guests and to do what it takes to ensure all reasonable guest needs are met.This position must always remain flexible regarding working hours and shift patterns, which may differ according to business demands.Duties and responsibilities:Greet and escort guest to their tablesPresent menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glassesInform guest about the day’s specialsOffer menu recommendations upon requestUp-sell additional products when appropriateTake accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, order slips or by memorizationServe food and drink ordersCheck dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problemsArrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining areaDeliver checks and collect bill paymentsFollow all relevant health department regulationsProvide excellent customer service to guestsExperience:Previous experience in a large hotel with at least 500 keys in a luxury property requiredRequirement:Proven work experience as a Waiter/WaitressActive listening and effective communication skillsFlexibility to work in shiftsHigh school diploma: food safety training is a plusTeam spiritStrong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environmentShould you believe that you are the right candidate for the role, please apply online ONLY by submitting your full updated CV, featuring a recent photograph.Not the right fit?
