Job summary

Michael Page is hiring for a senior gaming trading role in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will own the gaming P&L, sourcing, pricing and inventory decisions, while expanding a supplier book across UK, EU, USA and Asia and building a GCC buyer network including UAE and Saudi retailers.

You will manage offers through a structured portal flow, negotiate terms, and coach a Junior Trading Manager. Strong P&L experience and regional knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years trading or buying gaming hardware and software at a distributor, wholesaler, large retailer or trading house.
• Has bought and sold on own P&L and taken inventory risk.
• Knows gaming trade dynamics, regional SKUs and warranty issues.

Responsibilities

• Own the gaming P&L: sourcing, pricing, selling, stock decisions and margin for consoles and accessories.
• Grow supplier book with distributors, retailers and cross-region stock.
• Grow GCC buyer book including UAE & Saudi retailers and marketplace sellers.
• Navigate offers through portal flow: screening, Evaluator score, counter-offers, buy-for-stock.
• Decide on inventory, pricing timing, and price-protection opportunities.
• Negotiate while keeping platform anonymous and avoid sharing counterparty details.
• Use Handelot and Kadorf for price discovery and prospecting.
• Direct a Junior Trading Manager on uploads and buyer lists.
• Hit weekly KPIs: offers in/out, scores, deals, gross profit, stock days.

About Our Client

Our client is a B2B Trading Platform HQed in Dubai, with strong operations in the UK, US and Netherlands. They buy Electronics, Gaming, IT globally and sell in the GCC. They have a lean team of 5, expanding to 10 by year end!

Job Description

• Own the gaming P&L: sourcing, pricing, selling, stock decisions and margin for consoles (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo), games, controllers, headsets and accessories.
• Bring and grow a supplier book: distributors, retailers with surplus or promotional stock, brand overstock, cross-region stock from UK, EU, USA and Asia.
• Bring and grow a GCC buyer book: UAE and Saudi retailers, wholesalers, marketplace sellers, Deira and Dragon Mart trade, plus export buyers.
• Work every offer through the portal flow: pipeline screening, Evaluator score, counter-offers (max 3 rounds), sell-then-buy or buy-for-stock within the agreed rules, PO approval.
• Decide what to hold: Amazon best-seller and velocity checks, seasonal and launch timing (Q4, new titles, console bundles), end-of-life and price-protection opportunities.
• Negotiate hard on both sides and keep the platform anonymous as the counterparty of record; never disintermediate or share counterparties.
• Use the trading platforms (Handelot, Kadorf) for supply scan, price discovery and prospecting, logged in the portal.
• Direct a Junior Trading Manager on uploads, follow-ups and buyer lists; coach, do not delegate the relationships.
• Hit weekly KPIs: offers in, offers scored 60+, offers out, deals closed, gross profit, stock days.

The Successful Applicant

• 5+ years trading or buying gaming hardware and software at a distributor, wholesaler, large retailer or trading house, with a verifiable book of suppliers and buyers.
• Has bought and sold on own P&L and taken inventory risk, not only managed a category for a brand.
• Knows the gaming trade: who the buyers are, grey-market dynamics, regional SKUs and warranty issues, Saudi demand.
• Based in the UAE or willing to relocate immediately.
