Role Context
The Ticketing Team Leader will support the Assistant Manager Ticketing by supervising daily activity across the ticketing plaza and ensuring team members are deployed effectively throughout operating hours. The role combines guest service, operational control, staff scheduling, cash handling oversight, safety awareness, training, and facility readiness. The successful candidate will act as an important link between frontline employees and management while helping maintain a well-organized and guest-ready admissions environment. Strong supervision and attention to detail are essential because the position has direct responsibility for team rotations, counter operations, cash procedures, closing reports, and the overall condition of the ticketing plaza.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily ticketing plaza operations and frontline team members.
- Act as the primary liaison between ticketing employees and management.
- Inspect the ticketing plaza before opening to ensure the area is clean, safe, and operationally ready.
- Check locker room conditions and report maintenance or cleanliness concerns.
- Coordinate daily staff schedules according to expected operational demand.
- Organize team rotations and ensure counters remain adequately staffed.
- Manage employee break schedules without disrupting guest service.
- Inspect assigned duties and verify that team members complete responsibilities correctly.
- Monitor ticketing counters throughout the operating day.
- Provide practical guidance to team members during busy guest periods.
- Maintain orderly queue and guest flow conditions around the ticketing plaza.
- Respond promptly to minor guest requests and complaints.
- Escalate more complex service issues to the Assistant Manager Ticketing.
- Reinforce professional guest interaction standards across the team.
- Support the supervision of appropriate guest behavior within the plaza.
- Maintain safe cash handling practices during operating hours.
- Monitor employee cash-out procedures and verify completion according to established requirements.
- Support accurate reconciliation and closing activities.
- Ensure operational reports are completed and submitted at the end of the day.
- Confirm lockers are cleared according to closing procedures.
- Verify all required closing-down activities are completed before release of the team.
- Support training of new and existing ticketing employees.
- Reinforce operating procedures, service expectations, and cash handling standards.
- Provide coaching to team members when performance improvement is required.
- Assist with counselling and disciplinary processes in accordance with management procedures.
- Report first aid incidents or emergencies immediately to the Assistant Manager Ticketing.
- Maintain awareness of safety conditions throughout the ticketing plaza.
- Report maintenance, operational, or guest service issues requiring management attention.
- Support management with additional ticketing or operational duties when required.
Ideal Profile
- Completed 12 years of schooling.
- Previous supervisory experience is required.
- Good computer knowledge.
- Experience in ticketing, admissions, attractions, hospitality, leisure, or guest services is highly advantageous.
- Ability to supervise frontline employees during busy operating periods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable coordinating schedules, rotations, and staff breaks.
- Ability to resolve routine guest complaints professionally.
- Strong attention to cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
