Job summary

Atlantis The Palm Dubai is seeking a dedicated maintenance professional to sustain electrical, mechanical, kitchen, painting, carpentry, AV, fire life safety, and MEP systems across the property. You will follow CBM and SOPs, perform preventive and reactive maintenance, and coordinate with teams during room blockings and emergencies.

The role requires 3-5 years in a maintenance trade and a Diploma or Trade School Certificate, with the ability to work safely and train others.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in a maintenance facility trade.
• Diploma educated or a Trade School Certification.
• Experience with trades associated with Facilities Maintenance.
• Rectification, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Background in preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Ability to work under pressure and in restricted access areas.
• Good communication and willingness to assist others.

Responsibilities

• Sustain assigned aspects of the property following maintenance procedures for Electrical, Mechanical, Kitchen, Painting, Carpentry, AV, Fire life safety, and MEP systems.
• Reports to Supervisor and Manager and performs tasks as necessary.
• Carry out CBM and preventive maintenance as per equipment manuals and SOPs.
• Work safely and follow health and safety guidelines; use PPE where required.
• Be available to perform shift coverage and escalate issues to superiors.
• Familiarize with the building layout and assist during emergencies.
• Maintain cleanliness, report issues, and train others as required.
• Coordinate with HK and front office for room blocking and material needs.
• Attend guest complaints and act as team leader in absence of lead.

About The Role

• Ability to sustain assigned aspects of the property in adherence to typical facilities maintenance procedures this to include but not limited to: Electrical, Mechanical, Kitchen, Painting, Carpentry, Audio and Visual systems, Fire life safety systems, recreational water systems, Hotel rooms and public areas, exterior resort features. Etc.
• Reports to Supervisor and Manager and performs tasks and assignments as necessary.
• Carries out CBM's (Conditional Based Maintenance) as assigned and follows through with preventive maintenance as per equipment manufacturers and property guidelines and manuals.
• Work safe and follow all health and safety guidelines including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Must perform shift coverage as assigned.
• Escalate and advise senior personnel on issues
• Must become familiar with the layout of the building and property
• Ability to work and perform required duties during building emergencies
• Required to keep areas clean - before, during and after jobs. Report cleanliness issues to supervision.
• Maintain tools and equipment as issued, ensure calibration is updated where appropriate
• Will be required to teach and train others
• Attend Guest complaints as per job orders.
• Act as team leader during absence of team leader
• Carry out Civil, MEP and ELV system rectification and maintenance as and when necessary.
• Carry out PPM as per approved SOP's.
• Coordination with HK and front office for necessary room blocking for maintenance.
• Advise the team leader for material requirement.
• Carry out inventory with team leader and prepare necessary documents.
• Attend to all hazard and emergency notices.
• Carry out other task assigned by the team leader or higher management.
• To be fully aware and carry out health and safe practices at all times.
• Proactively and efficiently engage in day to day activities with team leader and other colleagues.
• Must perform shift coverage as and when required and ask by the leaders

About You
