Job summary

Kerzner International Management is seeking a Technician 2, Carpenter - Residences to maintain electrical, mechanical, carpentry and related systems across the Atlantis The Royal resort in Abu Dhabi. You will perform preventive and reactive maintenance, assist in complex repairs, and support safety and guest-service standards.

The role requires 3–5 years in a maintenance trade, a diploma or trade certification, and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in a maintenance facility trade.
• Diploma or Trade School Certification required.
• Experience with facilities maintenance trades and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical, mechanical, kitchen, painting, carpentry, AV, and life-safety systems.
• Support building management with preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Ensure safe, clean work areas and report hazards.
• Assist and train others; participate in shift coverage and emergencies.

About The Role

• Ability to sustain assigned aspects of the property in adherence to typical facilities maintenance procedures this to include but not limited to: Electrical, Mechanical, Kitchen, Painting, Carpentry, Audio and Visual systems, Fire life safety systems, recreational water systems, Hotel rooms and public areas, exterior resort features. Etc.
• Reports to Supervisor and Manager and performs tasks and assignments as necessary.
• Carries out CBM’s (Conditional Based Maintenance) as assigned and follows through with preventive maintenance as per equipment manufacturers and property guidelines and manuals.
• Work safe and follow all health and safety guidelines including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Must perform shift coverage as assigned.
• Escalate and advise senior personnel on issues
• Must become familiar with the layout of the building and property
• Ability to work and perform required duties during building emergencies
• Required to keep areas clean - before, during and after jobs. Report cleanliness issues to supervision.
• Maintain tools and equipment as issued, ensure calibration is updated where appropriate
• Will be required to teach and train others
• Attend Guest complaints as per job orders.
• Act as team leader during absence of team leader
• Carry out Civil, MEP and ELV system rectification and maintenance as and when necessary.
• Carry out PPM as per approved SOP’s.
• Coordination with HK and front office for necessary room blocking for maintenance.
• Advise the team leader for material requirement.
• Carry out inventory with team leader and prepare necessary documents.
• Attend to all hazard and emergency notices.
• Carry out other task assigned by the team leader or higher management.
• To be fully aware and carry out health and safe practices at all times.
• Proactively and efficiently engage in day to day activities with team leader and other colleagues.
• Must perform shift coverage as and when required and ask by the leaders

About You

• 3-5 years’ experience in a maintenance facility trade
• Diploma educated or a Trade School Certification
• Experience with trades associated with Facilities Maintenance
• Rectification and diagnostic and troubleshooting Skills.
• Background Preventative and Reactive Maintenance
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Ability to work in restricted access areas.
• Willing to assist others and good communication skills
• Requirement to escalates issues to superiors
