Job summary

Atlantis The Royal, part of Kerzner International in Dubai, seeks a facilities maintenance technician with 3–5 years’ experience in a luxury resort environment. You will work across multiple trades and support guest-related maintenance requests.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment calibration, and safety compliance, with opportunities to mentor teammates and own shift coverage in a fast-paced luxury setting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in a facilities maintenance trade.
• Diploma or trade school certification.
• Experience with trades related to facilities maintenance.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Sustain assigned aspects of the property per maintenance procedures (Electrical, Mechanical, Kitchen, Painting, Carpentry, A/V, fire life safety, water systems, hotel rooms, public areas).
• Lead shift coverage when required.
• Carry out CBM and preventive maintenance per SOPs.
• Maintain tools and equipment and ensure calibration.
• Coordinate with HK and front office for room blocking for maintenance.
• Attend guest complaints and escalate as needed.
• Ensure health and safety practices at all times.

About The Role

• Ability to sustain assigned aspects of the property in adherence to typical facilities maintenance procedures this to include but not limited to: Electrical, Mechanical, Kitchen, Painting, Carpentry, Audio and Visual systems, Fire life safety systems, recreational water systems, Hotel rooms and public areas, exterior resort features. Etc.
• Reports to Supervisor and Manager and performs tasks and assignments as necessary.
• Carries out CBM’s (Conditional Based Maintenance) as assigned and follows through with preventive maintenance as per equipment manufacturers and property guidelines and manuals.
• Work safe and follow all health and safety guidelines including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Must perform shift coverage as assigned.
• Escalate and advise senior personnel on issues
• Must become familiar with the layout of the building and property
• Ability to work and perform required duties during building emergencies
• Required to keep areas clean - before, during and after jobs. Report cleanliness issues to supervision.
• Maintain tools and equipment as issued, ensure calibration is updated where appropriate
• Will be required to teach and train others
• Attend Guest complaints as per job orders.
• Act as team leader during absence of team leader
• Carry out Civil, MEP and ELV system rectification and maintenance as and when necessary.
• Carry out PPM as per approved SOP’s.
• Coordination with HK and front office for necessary room blocking for maintenance.
• Advise the team leader for material requirement.
• Carry out inventory with team leader and prepare necessary documents.
• Attend to all hazard and emergency notices.
• Carry out other task assigned by the team leader or higher management.
• To be fully aware and carry out health and safe practices at all times.
• Proactively and efficiently engage in day to day activities with team leader and other colleagues.
• Must perform shift coverage as and when required and ask by the leaders

About You

• 3-5 years’ experience in a maintenance facility trade
• Diploma educated or a Trade School Certification
• Experience with trades associated with Facilities Maintenance
• Rectification and diagnostic and troubleshooting Skills.
• Background Preventative and Reactive Maintenance
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Ability to work in restricted access areas.
• Willing to assist others and good communication skills
