Job summary

Kerzner International Limited is seeking a Technician 2 Carpenter for Atlantis The Royal in Dubai. The role covers comprehensive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, painting, carpentry, and AV systems, with emphasis on proactive and preventive care in a luxury hospitality setting.

You will handle unit room and public area upkeep, assist guest requests, and serve as team lead when the supervisor is unavailable, while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards throughout the property.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in a maintenance facility trade.
• Diploma educated or a Trade School Certification.
• Experience with trades associated with Facilities Maintenance.
• Preventative and Reactive Maintenance ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks across Electrical, Mechanical, Painting, Carpentry, and AV systems.
• Carry out Preventive and Reactive Maintenance per SOPs.
• Work in restricted access areas and under pressure.
• Attend guest complaints and coordinate with supervisor.
• Lead team in absence of team leader.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety practices.
• Coordinate with HK and front office for room blocking.

About The Role

Ability to sustain assigned aspects of the property in adherence to typical facilities maintenance procedures this to include but not limited to Electrical Mechanical Kitchen Painting Carpentry Audio and Visual systems Fire life safety systems recreational water systems Hotel rooms and public areas exterior resort features Etc Reports to Supervisor and Manager and performs tasks and assignments as necessary Carries out CBM s Conditional Based Maintenance as assigned and follows through with preventive maintenance as per equipment manufacturers and property guidelines and manuals Work safe and follow all health and safety guidelines including the use of personal protective equipment Must perform shift coverage as assigned Escalate and advise senior personnel on issues Must become familiar with the layout of the building and property Ability to work and perform required duties during building emergencies Required to keep areas clean - before during and after jobs Report cleanliness issues to supervision Maintain tools and equipment as issued ensure calibration is updated where appropriate Will be required to teach and train others Attend Guest complaints as per job orders Act as team leader during absence of team leader Carry out Civil MEP and ELV system rectification and maintenance as and when necessary Carry out PPM as per approved SOP s Coordination with HK and front office for necessary room blocking for maintenance Advise the team leader for material requirement Carry out inventory with team leader and prepare necessary documents Attend to all hazard and emergency notices Carry out other task assigned by the team leader or higher management To be fully aware and carry out health and safe practices at all times Proactively and efficiently engage in day to day activities with team leader and other colleagues Must perform shift coverage as and when required and ask by the leaders

About You

3-5 years experience in a maintenance facility trade Diploma educated or a Trade School Certification Experience with trades associated with Facilities Maintenance Rectification and diagnostic and troubleshooting Skills. Background Preventative and Reactive Maintenance Ability to work efficiently under pressure. Ability to work in restricted access areas. Willing to assist others and good communication skills Requirement to escape issues to superiors
