Job summary

Maseera seeks an experienced technical writer to develop and maintain technology policy, SOPs and governance documents in a regulated banking environment. You will translate complex requirements into clear, controlled documentation and support lifecycle processes from creation to publication.

You will collaborate with IT GRC, Risk, Compliance and Audit teams to ensure accuracy, audit readiness, and consistent documentation across repositories. Experience with JIRA/Confluence preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in policy, procedure, SOP, governance or technical documentation within banking or other regulated environments.
• Strong technical and business writing skills with the ability to simplify complex governance, compliance and operational concepts.
• Experience developing policies, procedures, standards, operating manuals, governance frameworks and process documentation.
• Understanding of document governance, version control, review, approval and publication processes.
• Familiarity with governance, compliance, audit, risk and control-management practices.
• Strong stakeholder-interviewing and information-gathering skills.
• High attention to detail, quality assurance, consistency and traceability.
• Strong documentation-management and evidence-management capabilities.
• Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint and document repositories.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain Technology policies, procedures, SOPs, governance documents, and operational standards.
• Translate business, governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements into clear, practical, and controlled documentation.
• Support policy and SOP inventory reviews, document rationalization, ownership validation, and version-control activities.
• Draft and maintain governance frameworks, attestation processes, learning and awareness materials, compliance-monitoring procedures, and supporting artefacts.
• Work closely with Technology, IT GRC, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and business stakeholders to capture requirements and document approved processes.
• Manage document review, approval, publication, and change-control cycles.
• Maintain controlled document repositories, evidence registers, document inventories, and revision histories.
• Ensure documentation remains consistent, aligned to approved standards, and suitable for audit and regulatory review.
