Job summary

Decision Management Consultants is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer – Pump for a leading building materials company in Dubai, UAE. The role combines technical pump expertise with field sales duties.

You will size pumps, perform head and NPSH analyses, prepare proposals, and support customers from end users to consultants, with UAE market experience.

The ideal candidate has 8–15 years in pump sales, a UAE driving license, and strong communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 8–15 years of pump sales experience.
• 2–4 years UAE pump sales experience to end users/contractors/consultants.
• Strong knowledge of pumps, water treatment systems, and pool applications.
• Valid UAE driving license.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate pump features and applications to end users, contractors and consultants.
• Perform sizing, head calculations, NPSH analyses, and pump selection using manufacturer software.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and bid documents.
• Troubleshoot pump performance and provide on-site support during installation and commissioning.
• Develop and maintain relationships to identify opportunities and achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate pump features, benefits, and applications to end users, contractors, and consultants in the water treatment and swimming pool segments
• Understand customer requirements, including flow rate, head, fluid type, temperature, and viscosity, and recommend suitable pump types, such as centrifugal and positive displacement pumps
• Perform pump sizing, head calculations, NPSH analysis, and pump selection using manufacturer software
• Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, quotations, and bid documents
• Troubleshoot pump performance issues, recommend modifications, and provide technical support during installation and commissioning
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with end users, contractors, and consultants to identify business opportunities and achieve sales targets

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
• Minimum 8–15 years of experience in pump sales
• Minimum 2–4 years of UAE experience in selling pumps to end users, contractors, and consultants
• Strong technical knowledge of pumps, water treatment systems, and swimming pool applications
