Job summary

Decision Management Consultants recruits a Technical Sales Engineer – Pump for a leading building materials firm in Dubai. The role centers on technical selling, pump sizing, and delivering tailored solutions for water treatment and pool projects.

You will demonstrate pump capabilities, prepare proposals, and build strong relationships with end users, contractors and consultants to meet sales targets. Requires a engineering degree and 8–15 years pump sales with UAE experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate pump features, benefits and applications to end users, contractors and consultants.
• Perform pump sizing, head calculations, NPSH analysis and pump selection using manufacturer software.
• Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, quotations and bid documents.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and provide technical support during installation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate pump features, benefits, and applications to end users, contractors, and consultants in the water treatment and swimming pool segments
• Understand customer requirements, including flow rate, head, fluid type, temperature, and viscosity, and recommend suitable pump types, such as centrifugal and positive displacement pumps
• Perform pump sizing, head calculations, NPSH analysis, and pump selection using manufacturer software
• Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, quotations, and bid documents
• Troubleshoot pump performance issues, recommend modifications, and provide technical support during installation and commissioning
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with end users, contractors, and consultants to identify business opportunities and achieve sales targets

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
• Minimum 8–15 years of experience in pump sales
• Minimum 2–4 years of UAE experience in selling pumps to end users, contractors, and consultants
• Strong technical knowledge of pumps, water treatment systems, and swimming pool applications
• Must hold a valid UAE driving license
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills
