Detailed Job Description

As a Technical Business Analyst (Banking) at ESOL Global in Dubai, you will take full ownership of eliciting, analyzing, and documenting complex technical requirements for tier-1 banking clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass authoring Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FRDs/FSDs), user stories, and end-to-end process flows. You will design comprehensive source-to-target data mappings, analyze REST APIs and SOAP services using JSON/XML payloads, and execute SQL database queries and API testing via Postman. Working in an Agile environment using Jira and Confluence, you will manage backlog grooming, support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), conduct rigorous defect triage, and ensure seamless core banking integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive technical requirements, BRDs, FRDs/FSDs, and Agile user stories.
• Spearhead digital banking and core banking integration projects with mandatory UAE banking domain context.
• Design and document complex REST APIs, SOAP services, and data exchange payloads using JSON and XML.
• Create detailed source-to-target data mapping documents, reconciliation workflows, and data flow diagrams.
• Perform API testing, payload validation, and database querying using Postman and advanced SQL scripts.
• Manage Agile sprint backlogs, task tracking, and technical documentation using Jira and Confluence.
• Provide dedicated SIT and UAT support, coordinate user testing sessions, and lead structured defect triage.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 9+ years of professional experience as a Technical Business Analyst in the banking and financial technology sector.
• Mandatory professional experience working within the UAE banking and financial services domain.
• Deep technical expertise in banking payments, transaction processing, and core banking system integrations.
• Strong practical knowledge of REST APIs, SOAP services, JSON/XML schemas, and API testing tools (Postman).
