Role Context
This analyst supports analysis, documentation, improvement, and day‑to‑day operation of banking applications. The role directly impacts operational reliability, audit readiness, secure system changes, and timely resolution of production issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business needs and convert them into clear functional, technical, and system requirements.
- Support daily system operations by reviewing issues, identifying root causes, and coordinating resolution with technical teams and vendors.
- Act as a point of contact for system‑related queries, enhancements, production issues, and defect follow‑up.
- Ensure system fixes, changes, and enhancements are aligned with approved requirements and business expectations.
- Prepare and maintain functional specifications, process flows, impact assessments, support documents, and system records.
- Document application behavior, integrations, dependencies, interfaces, data flows, and operational procedures.
- Support change requests by performing impact analysis, effort estimation, testing coordination, and implementation follow‑up.
- Work closely with business users, system owners, vendors, and internal IT teams to resolve incidents and enhancement requests.
- Coordinate vendor troubleshooting, fixes, releases, and service commitments in line with agreed SLAs.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings, review sessions, requirement workshops, and system improvement discussions.
- Support ITIL‑based incident, problem, and change management activities, including documentation, approvals, testing, and post‑implementation reviews.
- Ensure system changes comply with banking policies, security standards, audit controls, and regulatory expectations.
- Assist internal and external audits by providing documentation, evidence, clarifications, and system process details.
- Support UAT activities, including test case preparation, execution support, defect tracking, and production readiness checks.
- Validate system enhancements before deployment and ensure issues are tracked to closure with lessons learned documented.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Strong experience as a System Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Application Support Analyst in enterprise environments.
- Good understanding of application support, system integrations, interface behavior, dependencies, and data flows.
- Familiarity with IT service management processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
- Ability to analyze logs, incidents, system behavior, and user reports to support troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Experience in banking or another regulated environment is preferred.
- Awareness of risk, audit, compliance, security, and control requirements affecting IT systems.
- Strong documentation mindset with the ability to prepare clear functional specifications, impact assessments, and support records.
- Good stakeholder coordination skills for working with business users, vendors, system owners, and internal technology teams.
- Ability to support UAT, defect tracking, change validation, and post‑implementation reviews.
- ITIL, Business Analysis, or related professional certification will be an advantage.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, ownership, and follow‑through skills.
