Job summary

Wynn Al Marjan Island is hiring a Systems Engineer to join the IT Operations Engineering & Support Team. The role focuses on designing scalable infrastructure across hybrid environments and maintaining servers, storage, and cloud services.

You will develop automations for deployment and incident response and monitor health with DataDog and Kibana. You will work with software, cybersecurity, and product teams to ensure reliability, define SLAs/SLOs and uphold security and audit requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years in systems engineering, DevOps, or IT infrastructure roles.
• Experience supporting enterprise server infra in a highly available 24/7 environment.
• Expertise in hybrid infrastructure, automation, and enterprise security practices.

About Wynn Al Marjan Island: Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE. Set to open in 2027, the resort will be located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The resort will offer 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. It will feature multiple swimming and wading pools, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.

About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to join our IT Operations Engineering & Support Team.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions across hybrid environments
• Maintain and upgrade systems including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and cloud services
• Develop automation tools for deployment, monitoring, and incident response
• Monitor system health using dashboards, alerts, and telemetry tools (e.g., DataDog, Kibana)
• Conduct root cause analysis and postmortems for major incidents
• Collaborate with software engineering, cybersecurity, and product teams to ensure operational excellence
• Establish and refine service-level agreements (SLAs), service-level objectives (SLOs), and error budgets to guide reliability efforts
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, data protection standards, and audit requirements
• Document system configurations and procedures, and create troubleshooting guides

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or IT infrastructure roles
• Senior-level experience supporting enterprise server infrastructure, including experience supporting a highly available, 24-hour operational environment. Knowledge of hybrid infrastructure, infrastructure automation, and enterprise security practices, as well as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, storage, backup, monitoring, and certificate services.
• Strong knowledge of installing, configuring, monitoring, hardening, and troubleshooting Windows and/or Linux systems.
• Strong scripting and programming skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V)
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Certifications such as Azure/AWS, ITIL, or SRE-focused credentials
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
