Job summary

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the IT Operations Engineering & Support Team. You will design scalable infrastructure across hybrid environments, maintain enterprise servers, storage, and cloud services, and develop automation tools for deployment, monitoring, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or IT infrastructure roles
• Senior-level experience supporting enterprise server infrastructure in a highly available, 24-hour environment with hybrid infrastructure, automation, and security practices
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux systems, installation, configuration, monitoring, hardening, and troubleshooting
• Strong scripting and programming skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V)
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Certifications such as Azure/AWS, ITIL, or SRE-focused credentials
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

About the Position

• Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions across hybrid environments
• Maintain and upgrade systems including servers storage virtualization platforms and cloud services
• Develop automation tools for deployment monitoring and incident response
• Monitor system health using dashboards alerts and telemetry tools e g DataDog Kibana
• Conduct root cause analysis and postmortems for major incidents
• Collaborate with software engineering cybersecurity and product teams to ensure operational excellence
• Establish and refine service-level agreements SLAs service-level objectives SLOs and error budgets to guide reliability efforts
• Ensure compliance with IT policies data protection standards and audit requirements
• Document system configurations and procedures and create troubleshooting guides

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
• 3 5 years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or IT infrastructure roles
• Senior-level experience supporting enterprise server infrastructure, including experience supporting a highly available, 24-hour operational environment. Knowledge of hybrid infrastructure, infrastructure automation, and enterprise security practices, as well as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, storage, backup, monitoring, and certificate services.
• Strong knowledge of installing, configuring, monitoring, hardening, and troubleshooting Windows and/or Linux systems.
• Strong scripting and programming skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V)
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Certifications such as Azure/AWS, ITIL, or SRE-focused credentials
