Job summary

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking a Network Operations Technician to join the IT Operations Engineering & Support Team in Ras Al Khaimah. You will monitor networks, troubleshoot incidents, and perform routine maintenance to keep services secure and available.

The role requires 1–2 years in network operations, a IT-related degree, and skills in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, plus familiarity with SolarWinds and ServiceNow. WLC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field.
• 1–2 years in network operations or IT infra support.
• Proficient in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and VLANs.
• Experience with SolarWinds and ITSM tools like ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network systems for performance issues and outages.
• Investigate and resolve network problems using logs and tools.
• Perform routine maintenance including patches and firmware updates.
• Install and configure routers, switches, firewalls, access points.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize performance.

About Wynn Al Marjan Island:

Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE. Set to open in 2027, the resort will be located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The resort will offer 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. It will feature multiple swimming and wading pools, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.

About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Network Operations Technician to join our IT Operations Engineering & Support Team.

Responsibilities

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Monitor network systems for performance issues, outages, and security threats
• Investigate and resolve network problems using diagnostic tools and logs
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades including patches, firmware updates, and configuration changes.
• Install and configure network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points
• Collaborate with network engineers and architects to optimize system performance
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, incidents, and resolutions
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours network alerts
• Support end users and IT teams with network-related issues and escalations
• Ensure compliance with internal security protocols and external regulatory standard

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 1–2 years of experience in network operations or IT infrastructure support
• Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLAN configurations
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds) and ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)
• Experience with wireless systems and controllers (e.g., WLC)
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent are preferred
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure, AWS) is a plus
