Job description

The Supervisor – Micro Fulfillment Centre (MFC) is responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse and fulfillment operations within the micro fulfillment centre. The role ensures smooth inbound, inventory, picking, packing, dispatch, and rider coordination activities while maintaining operational efficiency, productivity, and service quality standards.

The Supervisor will lead operational staff, monitor KPIs, ensure timely order fulfillment, and maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards in a fast-paced q-commerce environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

• Supervise daily warehouse and fulfillment centre operations.
• Ensure timely picking, packing, and dispatch of customer orders.
• Monitor operational workflows to achieve productivity and SLA targets.
• Coordinate with inventory, dispatch, and delivery teams for smooth operations.
• Handle shift planning and manpower allocation efficiently.

Team Management

• Supervise warehouse associates and operational staff.
• Monitor staff attendance, discipline, and performance.
• Provide on-ground training and operational guidance to team members.
• Ensure staff adherence to SOPs and company policies.

Inventory & Stock Control

• Monitor inventory movement and stock accuracy.
• Support cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Identify discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory items.

Process Compliance & Safety

• Ensure operational compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the facility.
• Report operational issues, damages, or process gaps to management.
• Ensure adherence to operational SOPs and quality standards.

Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare operational reports and shift updates.
• Track KPIs such as productivity, order accuracy, dispatch timelines, and shrinkage.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including logistics, HR, and procurement.
• Escalate operational concerns and recommend process improvements.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Experience Required

• 2–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, micro fulfillment centre operations, q-commerce, e-commerce, or logistics operations.
• Prior experience handling operational teams in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
• Experience in inventory management and order fulfillment operations is an advantage.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good understanding of warehouse and fulfillment processes.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and warehouse management systems.
• Ability to work rotational shifts and weekends if required.
