Job summary

ATGC Transport and General Contracting L.L.C. is seeking an experienced Structural Draftsman for high-rise residential and commercial tower projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

You will produce detailed, clash-free structural shop drawings, section details, and BBS that meet project specs and local codes. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of drafting in civil contracting, with at least 3 years focused on towers of 30+ stories, and strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit Structure, Navisworks, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree required in civil/structural engineering or architectural drafting.
• 5+ years of structural drafting experience in civil contracting; 3+ years in high-rise towers (30+ stories).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit Structure, Navisworks; strong Excel skills.
• Knowledge of BS 8666 / ACI 318 and local building codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural shop drawings, framing plans, core wall details, PT slab layouts, shear wall reinforcement, and foundation plans for high-rise towers.
• Build and update 3D structural models in Revit; coordinate with architectural and MEP drafting teams to resolve clashes.
• Extract Bar Bending Schedules and material take-offs from models and drawings.
• Incorporate consultant comments and site RFIs to issue IFC drawing packages.
• Update As-Built drawings based on site measurements and redlines.
• Ensure drafting deliverables comply with BEP, CAD standards, and layering conventions.

Job Title: Structural Draftsman (High-Rise & Towers)

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Structural Draftsman specializing in high-rise residential and commercial tower construction. In this role, you will produce detailed, clash-free structural shop drawings, section details, and fabrication/bar bending schedules (BBS) that comply with project specifications, consultant approvals, and local building codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting & Detailing: Prepare comprehensive structural shop drawings, framing plans, core wall details, post-tensioned (PT) slab layouts, shear wall reinforcement details, and foundation plans (mats, piles, caps) for high-rise tower projects.
• BIM Modeling & Coordination: Build and update 3D structural models using Revit Structure; coordinate with architectural and MEP drafting teams to identify and resolve spatial clashes prior to construction.
• Bar Bending Schedules (BBS): Extract precise Bar Bending Schedules and material take-offs from structural models and CAD drawings in compliance with international standards (BS / ACI / ISO).
• Consultant & Site Coordination: Incorporate engineer marked-up redlines, consultant review comments, and site RFI responses promptly to issue construction-ready (IFC) drawing packages.
• As-Built Documentation: Update drawings based on actual site conditions, field redlines, and surveyor measurements to produce final As-Built packages.
• Quality & Standards Compliance: Ensure all drafting deliverables conform to company standards, layering conventions, scale protocols, and project CAD/BIM execution plans (BEP).

Education

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or Architectural Drafting

Experience

5+ years of experience as a Structural Draftsman in civil contracting, with a minimum of 3 years focused on high-rise towers (30+ stories)

Software Proficiency

AutoCAD (Advanced), Revit Structure (Intermediate to Advanced), Navisworks (Clash Detection), MS Excel

Technical Knowledge

Reinforced Concrete (RC) detailing, Post-Tensioned (PT) slabs, heavy foundation/pile systems, structural steel embeds, and transfer structures

Codes & Standards

Familiarity with BS 8666 / ACI 318 detailing standards and local municipal building codes
