Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a technically skilled Structural Designer to support safe and practical structural designs for building and engineering projects in Dubai. You will prepare structural drawings, develop details, and support calculations, ensuring documentation meets project requirements and standards.

The role requires strong CAD/BIM proficiency (AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla), attention to detail, and effective coordination with architects, engineers, MEP consultants, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Structural Design, or related.
• Strong understanding of structural design principles, construction methods, materials, and documentation.
• Ability to interpret structural calculations, engineering specs, design requirements, and drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures or other drafting software.
• Familiarity with structural codes, standards, and drafting conventions.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with focus on drawing accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural plans, elevations, sections, details, reinforcement drawings, and construction documents.
• Develop accurate 2D drawings and 3D models for foundations, beams, columns, slabs, and steel structures.

The role involves preparing structural drawings, developing design details, supporting engineering calculations, and ensuring documentation meets project requirements, technical standards, and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Key responsibilities include preparing structural plans, elevations, sections, details, reinforcement drawings, and construction documentation.
• You will work from engineering concepts and project requirements to develop accurate 2D drawings and 3D models for structural elements such as foundations, beams, columns, slabs, steel structures, and other supporting systems.
• The role also involves coordinating structural drawings with architects, engineers, MEP consultants, contractors, fabricators, and other stakeholders.
• You will review design changes, update drawings, resolve drafting or coordination issues, and ensure revisions are properly documented and communicated.
• You will assist with design calculations, material specifications, quantity information, drawing reviews, and technical submissions where required.
• The position also requires maintaining organized project files, checking drawing accuracy, following relevant structural codes and standards, and supporting design improvements throughout the project lifecycle.
