Job summary

Confidential Company in Dubai seeks a skilled Drafting Engineer to prepare detailed drawings for steel structures, MEP supports, and industrial layouts, and to develop GA, fabrication and shop drawings alongside 3D BIM models.

You will ensure compliance with codes and project specs, coordinate with structural and piping teams, perform clash detection, and support BIM-based project coordination and visualizations on site.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
• Strong knowledge of steel detailing and structural drafting standards.
• Experience with BIM workflows and digital construction practices.
• Familiarity with codes: AISC, ASME, ASTM, ISO drafting standards.
• Ability to coordinate with engineers, BIM coordinators and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings for steel structures, MEP supports, and piping.
• Develop GA, fabrication, shop, and as-built drawings; 3D models and BIM coordination.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry codes, standards, and project specs.
• Coordinate with structural, piping, BIM teams, site teams and contractors.
• Perform clash detection, drawing reviews and model coordination.

Job description

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings and drafting for Steel structures, MEP Supports, Industrial and utility layouts, Structural and piping components

• Develop and revise GA drawings, Fabrication drawings, Shop drawings, As-built drawings, 3D models and coordinated BIM models

• Ensure drawings comply with relevant industry codes and standards, company drafting standards, project specifications and document control procedures

• Coordinate with Structural engineers, Piping engineer, BIM coordinators, Site teams and contractors

• Perform Clash detection using BIM tools, Drawing reviews and updates, Quantity extraction and model coordination

• Support visualization of Design concepts, Site layouts, Construction sequencing, BIM-based project coordination

Desired Candidate Profile

Proficient in:

• AutoCAD

• Autodesk Revit

Strong knowledge of:

• Steel detailing

• Structural drafting standards

Preferred Qualifications
