Job summary

ICBA is seeking a Business Development Specialist to plan and execute opportunities that align with its growth goals. You will support senior managers in identifying funding opportunities, fostering donor and partner relationships, and developing strategic proposals.

The role involves coordinating with scientists and management, preparing presentations and reports, and contributing to endowment fundraising efforts within ICBA’s partnerships and knowledge management team.

Qualifications

• University degree in business development, business management, marketing or communication (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, resource mobilization, communications or public relations with research centers or development organizations.
• Strong understanding of international agricultural research and development.
• Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
• Advanced computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Research and plan strategies to expand ICBA’s services and opportunities.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities; manage alerts and donor outreach.
• Advise management on trends and identify new donor opportunities.
• Prepare donor/partner presentations and reports; support visits to ICBA facilities.
• Assist in proposal development and yearly work plans to maximize opportunities.
• Coordinate endowment fundraising efforts and related outreach.
• Track partnerships, MOUs, memberships, and CRM data updates.
