Job summary

ICBA - International Center for Biosaline Agriculture seeks a Finance Manager to lead day-to-day financial management and the technical finance function under the Head of Corporate Services. You will ensure IFRS compliance, donor requirements, and UAE regulations while safeguarding records and delivering timely financial analysis.

You will drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, develop policies, and supervise accounting, reporting, and treasury activities to support research

Qualifications

• IFRS financial reporting experience and strong accounting fundamentals.
• Experience with donor-funded, multi-donor projects and compliance.
• Proven budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning capabilities.
• Hands-on ERP and finance tooling knowledge, with process improvements.
• Leadership of finance teams and collaboration with senior management.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Oversee general and project accounting, and ensure ledger integrity.
• Prepare IFRS-compliant annual financial statements and filings.
• Manage treasury, cash flow, FX exposure, and banking relationships.
• Ensure donor fund management, cost allocations, and reporting compliance.
• Lead internal controls, risk management, and process automation initiatives.
• Mentor finance staff and provide guidance to regional/project offices.
