Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end store operations covering staffing, scheduling, ordering, receiving, stocking, picking, packing, maintenance, and expense control.
  • Plan staffing levels and shift schedules according to expected order volumes and operational requirements.
  • Supervise store employees and ensure resources are deployed effectively throughout each shift.
  • Optimize picker utilization through appropriate multitasking and workload allocation.
  • Monitor operational productivity and take action to improve utilization rates.
  • Review inventory levels and issue replenishment orders based on demand planning inputs and physical stock assessments.
  • Prevent unnecessary out-of-stock and overstock situations through disciplined inventory monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and enforce established stock control procedures.
  • Implement inventory processes designed to protect stock accuracy and availability.
  • Supervise inbound receiving and ensure deliveries are checked accurately against orders and approved procedures.
  • Verify quantities, condition, and documentation during receipt of merchandise.
  • Oversee outbound fulfillment and ensure customer orders are picked accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain packing quality and ensure completed orders meet established operating procedures.
  • Monitor fulfillment workflows continuously and identify opportunities to improve speed, productivity, and profitability.
  • Track store performance against agreed service level standards.
  • Ensure the assigned store operates efficiently while meeting profitability objectives.
  • Coach and develop store employees to improve operational capability and performance.
  • Monitor labor deployment and adjust staffing where necessary to match workload.
  • Control operating costs against approved budgets and identify opportunities to improve cost effectiveness.
  • Monitor store-related shrinkage and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and operational causes of stock loss.
  • Ensure store equipment, infrastructure, and working areas are used correctly and maintained in good condition.
  • Coordinate routine and preventive maintenance activities across the facility.
  • Supervise internal maintenance work and coordinate third-party service providers when required.
  • Ensure material handling equipment is used safely and according to operating requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with hygiene, sanitation, security, and safety standards.
  • Maintain appropriate service standards for both internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Discuss operational issues with the Operations Manager and present practical solutions.
