Job summary

Al-Futtaim is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to drive sales, enhance customer satisfaction, and oversee merchandising standards. The role requires managing daily store operations, staff training, and development while ensuring profitability and policy compliance.

You will lead by example, train teams, and organize weekly staff meetings to align with company goals and strategies, focusing on delivering exceptional customer experiences on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Store Manager with a proven track record of driving sales and profit results.
• Experience in training and developing a team of individuals.
• Good command of business English (written and verbal), good computer skills (Outlook, Excel & SAP), and detailed report analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive Sales & Profitability: Meet or exceed profitability expectations for the store in sales, payroll, shrink, and conversion.
• Create and execute strategies to maximize store sales and control expenses.
• Operational Effectiveness: Control company assets by meeting all loss prevention measures, managing inventory, in- and out-bound stock movements, sales, returns, exchanges, and store maintenance.
• Execute and comply with all company policies and store procedures.
• People Development / HR: Support recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining high-quality associates for store profile and succession planning.
• Lead by example, train, develop, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching on product knowledge, selling skills, and visual merchandising.
• Organize weekly staff meetings and daily briefings to recap store performance and communicate new company goals and strategies.
• Customer Experience / Sales: Ensure an excellent level of customer service is prioritized at all times by executing and achieving Customer Experience consistently.
• Maintain visibility and lead by example on the selling floor to answer customer questions and support all selling functions.
• Implement all visual merchandising standards, promotions, and ensure the overall cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom.
