Job summary

Kerzner International – Atlantis The Palm is seeking a Sous Chef to support the Chef de Cuisine in leading and organizing all requirements to the highest standards in line with SOPs. You will ensure hygiene and sanitation, maintain stock levels, coordinate with other departments, and train staff to deliver exceptional service.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma in Catering or 5 years’ experience in a 5-star international chain with 1–2 years in a similar position, and Western cuisine experience

Qualifications

• Diploma in Catering or 5 years’ experience in a 5-star international chain.
• 1–2 years’ experience in a similar position or above.
• Western cuisine experience for high-volume restaurants.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and organize all requirements to the highest standards per SOPs.
• Ensure proper hygiene and sanitation in the areas under your jurisdiction.
• Maintain adequate stocks of working materials and coordinate inter-departmentally; train staff to deliver top service.
• Direct, supervise and motivate staff to perform to the highest level of service.
