Job summary

Mine & Yours Group in Dubai DIFC seeks a seasoned Sommelier to lead day-to-day wine service and deliver a refined guest experience. You will advise on selections, pairings, and collaborate with restaurant and bar teams to uphold luxury standards.

You will train staff, assist with wine events and tastings, manage cellar operations, monitor inventory, and foster strong supplier relationships, ensuring excellent service during evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Strong wine knowledge across global regions, varietals, vintages, and pairings.
• Experience in fine-dining or luxury hospitality, in Somm or senior FOH.
• Excellent guest communication and discreet service.
• Ability to manage cellar operations: stock, ordering, inventory, storage.
• Professional certifications (WSET or CMS) preferred.
• Collaborates with culinary, bar, and operations teams to enhance guest experience.
• Fluent English; other languages an advantage.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, holidays.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Sommelier role based in Chic Nonna Osteria Gourmet & Lounge, DIFC, Dubai. The Sommelier will serve the needs of the business, the guests and colleagues by administering day-to-day operations of the wine service in the business unit. Additionally, assist the Wine Team to direct and ensure the implementation and execution of policies and procedures as they relate to wine sales. The role includes advising guests on wine selections, pairing wines with menu items, and delivering an engaging, educational, and refined guest experience. The Sommelier will collaborate closely with the restaurant and bar teams, support staff training on wine service and product knowledge, and assist with wine-focused events, tastings, and promotions. Responsibilities also include monitoring inventory, supporting supplier relationships, and upholding Mine & Yours Group’s luxury standards in every aspect of beverage service.

Qualifications

• Strong wine knowledge and service expertise, including familiarity with global wine regions, grape varieties, vintages, and food & wine pairings.
• Proven experience in fine-dining or luxury hospitality environments, ideally in a Sommelier or senior front-of-house role.
• Excellent guest communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver personalized, culturally sensitive, and discreet service.
• Ability to manage cellar operations, including stock control, ordering, inventory management, and proper storage procedures.
• Relevant certifications such as WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, or equivalent professional wine qualifications are strongly preferred.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with culinary, bar, and operations teams to enhance the overall guest experience.
• High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to Mine & Yours Group’s standards of luxury and excellence.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages, especially widely spoken international languages, are an advantage.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in line with hospitality schedules.
