Job summary

EDGE is seeking a Solid Propulsion Engineer II based in Abu Dhabi to support development, characterization, testing, and manufacturing of solid rocket propellants and energetic materials. You will work with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety, performance, and quality across propulsion programs.

The role covers propellant formulation, materials characterization, processing support, testing campaigns, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Masters/PhD degree in chemical engineering, Chemistry, Materials Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant engineering experience in chemical processing, materials engineering, energetic materials, aerospace, defense, or related industries.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development and evaluation of solid rocket propellant formulations and additives.
• Conduct materials characterization and analyze chemical, thermal, and mechanical properties.
• Assist in propellant processing, mixing, casting, curing, and manufacturing quality monitoring.
• Support test campaigns, analyze results, and participate in failure investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to engineering procedures, best practices, and continuous improvement.
