Job summary

EDGE is seeking an experienced CFD Engineer to advance solid-rocket propulsion concepts through rigorous CFD analysis and numerical modeling. You will design and validate CFD-driven solutions for high-technology propulsion systems, developing post-test analysis codes and reporting results.

The role requires a PhD/Masters in propulsion or related fields, 12+ years in propulsion CFD, and proficiency with ANSYS Fluent, CFX or OpenFOAM. This is a high-impact position based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years in Solid Rocket Propulsion engineering performing CFD analyses and predicting models.
• Master’s or PhD in Propulsion or related field; Aerospace/Mechanical Eng with fluid dynamics.
• Expertise in CFD tools such as ANSYS Fluent, CFX or OpenFOAM.

Responsibilities

• Perform CFD simulations of solid propellant rocket motors, grains, blastpipes, nozzles and thrust vector systems.
• Predict flow distribution, combustion efficiency, heat transfer and flow ballistics.
• Develop codes for post-test analysis and nozzle designs.
• Provide design optimization input based on CFD results.
• Validate numerical results against experimental data.
• Write reports and mathematical models, and document test results.
