EDGE in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced propulsion CFD engineer to design and analyze solid rocket motors, nozzles, and thrust vector systems using CFD tools.

Competenze

• Minimum 12 years in Solid Rocket Propulsion engineering performing CFD analyses and making predictions models.
• Master’s or PhD in Propulsion or other related fields, Aerospace / Mechanical Engineering with focus on fluid dynamics.
• Expertise in CFD tools (ANSYS Fluent, CFX, OpenFOAM, or similar).

Mansioni

• Perform CFD simulations of solid propellant rocket motors, grains, blastpipes, nozzles and thrust vector control systems.
• Predict flow distribution, combustion efficiency, heat transfer, flow ballistics and forces.
• Develop codes for post-test analysis, thrust vector systems, and nozzle designs.
• Provide design optimization input based on CFD results.
• Validate numerical results against experimental test data.
• Write reports, mathematical models, and test reports.
